This presents an increase of 12 compared to 20222023. Whilst the number of serious injuries to passengers remained low, there were increases in the number of serious injuries to both workers and trespassers.Figure 4 presents the number of railway-related serious injuries by person type and incident typeover the past five years. Figure 5 presents the number of railway-related serious injuries by person type, with regard tonon-rail safety workers, and precursor event / likely cause over the past two years (since the introduction of NRSDS).
