The 2023–2024 ONRSR Rail Safety Report is our annual account of rail safety performance across Australia.
As always, the report highlights where there are lessons to be learned but it is pleasing to note that safety performance continues to be strong across the state rail sectors and rail industry. Rail remains a safe and reliable part of the national transport picture and is well positioned to play an even bigger part in driving economic and social benefit for Australia.
