New ONRSR Fact Sheet Released: Powers to Obtain Information
ONRSR has released a new rail industry fact sheet designed to clarify the requirements when persons, particularly rail safety workers, are compelled to answer questions by our Rail Safety Officers.
The primary focus of the fact sheet is the requirements on persons, including workers, when ONRSR officers issue written Notice to Give Information under s 20 of the Rail Safety National Law (RSNL). It also addresses similar requirements that may be made under s 154 of the RSNL.
It outlines the specific obligations that rail safety workers must fulfill and provides a concise summary of what is expected from workers when presented with a s 20 Notice or faced with questions in the field.
ONRSR hopes this resource will prove a valuable reference tool, empowering rail safety officers and workers alike with the knowledge required to navigate their responsibilities effectively.
