Safe railways for Australia

An accredited rail transport operator may apply to the Regulator to surrender their accreditation. In order to surrender an accreditation the rail transport operator must inform the Office of the National Rail Safety Regulator (ONRSR) with written notice of the intention to surrender and provide the ONRSR with details as to the arrangements proposed in relation to the cessation of rail operations.

Rail transport operators seeking to surrender their accreditation are advised to contact the ONRSR early in the process to clarify the requirements.

For all enquiries relating to surrenders of accreditation, please contact or phone 08 8406 1500.
